AASHTO T 160-17 (2021) is a standard method of testing the length change of hardened hydraulic cement mortar and concrete. The purpose of this test is to determine the changes in length that occur in mortar and concrete specimens due to factors other than external forces and temperature changes when exposed to controlled conditions of temperature and moisture.
The standard allows for the use of either inch-pound or SI units, with the exception of sieve sizes and nominal size of aggregate, where SI values are considered the standard according to specification E 11. The use of different units should be done independently without combining values from different systems.
