Standard EN SampleStandard Specification for Steel Wire and Welded Wire, Plain and Deformed, for Concrete Reinforcement
Also Known As:
The AASHTO M 336M/M 336-20 standard is a specification that covers the requirements for steel wire and welded wire used for concrete reinforcement. It applies to carbon-steel wire and welded wire reinforcement that is produced from hot-rolled rod.
The standard specifies that the steel wire can be plain (non-deformed, as-drawn, or galvanized) or deformed, and it can be cold-worked, drawn, or rolled. Welded wire reinforcement can be made from plain or deformed wire, or a combination of both.
The term "welded wire fabric" has been replaced with "welded wire reinforcement" in this specification and related specifications, as the wire reinforcement industry prefers this term to better represent the range of products being manufactured.
This specification is applicable for orders in either SI units or inch-pound units, providing flexibility in the measurement system used.
