Standard EN SampleStandard Method of Test for Mass [Weight] of Coating on Aluminum-Coated Iron or Steel Articles
Also Known As:
The AASHTO T 213M/T 213-11 (2019) standard outlines the procedures for determining the mass [weight] of coating on aluminum-coated iron or steel articles. This standard applies to both aluminum-coated iron or steel sheets and wire, as well as other aluminum-coated iron and steel articles.
For sheet products, the final results can be expressed in two ways: as the total coating mass [weight] on both sides or as the coating mass [weight] on each side separately, depending on the specific requirements.
The standard includes a reference to R 16, which lists the current regulation codes and hazard classifications for the chemicals used in this test method.
It is worth mentioning that this test method is identical to ASTM A 428/A 428 M-10, with the exception of using inch-pound units rather than SI units, the addition of Section 1.5, and an additional requirement at the end of Section 8.1.
