Advances in Concrete Bridges: Design, Construction, Evaluation, and Rehabilitation
Also Known As:
ACI SP-333:2019 is a Special Publication that focuses on the design, construction, evaluation, and rehabilitation of concrete bridges. It contains nine selected papers that were presented at The ACI Concrete Convention and Exposition – Spring 2018. The objective of this publication is to provide technical contributions that showcase the state-of-the-art advancements in concrete bridge technology, address challenges faced by practitioners and government engineers, and propose effective solutions.
The topics covered in this publication include various aspects of concrete bridges, such as strengthening deep cap beams, estimation of self-consolidating concrete characteristics for efficient prestressed bridge construction, application of basalt-fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP) bars to prestressed slab elements, monitoring and rehabilitation of damaged bridge beams, seismic experiments and analysis of repaired bridge columns using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) donuts, design of pedestrian bridge using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforced concrete, shear tests on prestressed concrete continuous beams, repair of concrete beams with fully corroded steel using CFRP laminates, and condition rating model of reinforced concrete bridge decks using nondestructive testing and visual inspection.
