The AS 4905:2002 standard outlines a contract form to be used for simple construction projects. It is not recommended for complex or long-term projects or those that require a bill of quantities. Additionally, this standard does not include provisions for separable portions or nominated subcontracts.
One important aspect to note is that this version of the contract does not provide for administration by a Principal. This means that the Superintendent, who is responsible for overseeing the project, will handle the administrative duties outlined in the contract.
