It is important to note that this standard does not apply to certain products, including boards of Portland or equivalent cement reinforced with fibrous wood particles, non-combustible fibre-reinforced boards of calcium silicate or cement for insulation and fire protection, gypsum plasterboard, asbestos-cement flat sheets, asbestos-cement slates and siding shingles, and fibre-cement slates and siding shingles. These products fall outside the scope of AS/NZS 2908.2:2000 (R2020) and are subject to different standards and regulations.
