Standard EN SampleSteel Utility Services Poles
Also Known As:
The AS/NZS 4677:2010 standard outlines the minimum requirements for the materials, design, fabrication, and erection of steel poles used to support various utility services. This includes street lights, floodlights, aerial conductors, electromotive-transport conductors, traffic signals, communication equipment, or any combination of these services.
However, it should be noted that this standard does not apply to lattice steel towers and masts, whether freestanding or guyed, and also excludes steel flag poles. For compliance with this standard, Appendix A provides means for demonstrating adherence.
It is important to highlight that the design of lattice steel towers and masts is covered in a separate standard, AS 3995.
