This standard, ASTM C1354/C1354M-22, provides procedures for determining the ultimate strength of an assembly consisting of stone with mechanical anchorages. The test is conducted by applying load separately in two directions - perpendicular to the surface of the panel and parallel to the surface of the panel. The purpose of the test is to simulate and assess the interaction between the anchorages and the stone panels. However, it should be noted that the influence of the backup structure on the strength of the assemblies is not considered in this test method.
