The ASTM RR:C09-1006 standard, also known as the Standard Test Method for Compressive Strength of Cylindrical Concrete Specimens, describes a procedure for determining the compressive strength of cylindrical concrete specimens. In order to establish precision statements for this standard, an interlaboratory study, referred to as C39/C39M-05, was conducted.
During the study, participating laboratories tested individual cylindrical specimens measuring 6 by 12 inches. These specimens were made from a well-mixed sample of concrete.
