In order to assess compatibility, the complete system is subjected to accelerated heat conditioning. This involves exposing the system to elevated temperatures for a specified period of time. After the heat conditioning, the shear strength properties of the system are determined. By comparing the shear strength properties before and after heat conditioning, the standard helps to determine the compatibility of the waterproofing system under thermal stress.
