BS ISO 6934-4:2020 is a standard that specifies the requirements for steel strand used in the prestressing of concrete. The strand is subjected to a stress-relieving heat treatment, following the general requirements set forth in ISO 6934-1. This standard covers 10 different grades of steel strand, which are utilized in prestressed concrete construction. The strands can consist of either 2, 3, 7 or 19 individual wires. If there are any discrepancies between the requirements outlined in this standard and ISO 6934-1, the requirements specified in this document take precedence.
