Standard EN SampleStructural Design of Wastewater Treatment Plants
Also Known As:
CSA S900.2:21 is the first edition of the standard It has been developed in compliance with the requirements of the Standards Council of Canada for National Standards of Canada and published by CSA Group.
The scope of this standard is to provide requirements and guidance for the structural design of new wastewater treatment plants, including buildings and liquid-containing tanks, from the point where effluent enters the plant to the point of its discharge. It is designed to support the design process provided by the National Building Code of Canada, but also includes additional requirements specific to the design of wastewater treatment plants that are not covered by current NBCC and CSA standards.
The standard covers a wide range of materials including concrete, steel, masonry, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), glass fiberglass reinforced polymer (GFRP), stainless steel, aluminum, and geo-membrane. However, it does not address the design of buried linear infrastructure or water treatment plants and other water retaining structures.
