It is worth noting that the standard does not cover repairs to pre-stressed or post-tensioned components and structures, non-structural slabs-on-grade, docks and wharves, highway bridges, bins, tanks, silos, or treatment plants. It also allows for the use of innovative procedures and materials as long as they are carried out by qualified individuals and deemed acceptable by the owner, while maintaining an acceptable level of safety and performance.

Additionally, the standard specifies requirements for the preparation of recommendations for the installation of appropriate protection materials or systems and post-repair maintenance schedules to ensure the protection of the repaired structures and components.
