The DIN EN 12808-4 standard applies to ceramic tile grouts used for both internal and external tile installations on walls and floors. Its main objective is to provide a standardized test method for determining the shrinkage of these grouts.
This standard does not include specific performance requirements or recommendations for the design and installation of ceramic tiles. However, it does note that ceramic tile grouts can also be used with other types of tiles, such as natural stones or agglomerated stones, as long as these do not have any adverse effects on the stones.
