The DIN EN 1881 standard outlines the procedures for conducting a pull-out test on a reinforcing steel bar (rebar) anchored in a concrete block. This test is applicable to anchoring products that are made from hydraulic binders, synthetic resins, or a combination of these materials. However, it does not cover products that are specifically designed for use as grout around tendons used in concrete prestressing.
The standard provides detailed instructions on the conditions and requirements for carrying out the pull-out test. The aim of this test is to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of anchoring products by measuring the force required to pull the rebar out of the concrete block.
