Slurry Surfacing - Requirements
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 12273 standard pertains to the installation of slurry surfacing as a product for treating road surfaces and other areas with traffic such as footways and cycleways. However, this standard does not apply to small areas of slurry surfacing on roads covering less than 500 m2 and that are not contiguous, which are typically used for minor repairs. The standard also does not cover slurry surfacing designs specified by the purchaser or its application in tunnels regarding reaction to fire. While there are currently no identified regulations or classification methods for reaction to fire in tunnels, member states have the option to adopt the technical requirements of this standard for tunnel use. Additionally, international regulations for pavements, such as those set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for airfields, are not covered by this standard.
