Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures - Definitions, requirements, quality control and evaluation of conformity - Part 7: Reinforcement corrosion protection
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 1504-7 standard focuses on defining the requirements, quality control, and evaluation of conformity for products and systems used in the protection and repair of concrete structures specifically related to reinforcement corrosion protection. This standard is applicable for both active and barrier coatings used on existing uncoated steel reinforcement and embedded steel in concrete structures that are undergoing repair. However, it should be noted that this standard does not cover products designed for corrosion protection of pre-stressing steels and stainless steels. Some prestressing steels may have susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement in combination with certain reinforcement coatings, and this aspect is also acknowledged in the standard.
