Extended Application of Test Results for Fire Resistance and/or Smoke Control for Door, Shutter and Openable Window Assemblies, Including Their Elements of Building Hardware - Part 2: Fire Resistance of Hinged and Pivoted Steel Doorsets
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 15269-2 standard focuses on the fire resistance of hinged and pivoted steel doorsets. It provides guidelines for extending the application of test results obtained from tests conducted in accordance with EN 1634-1. This standard covers various aspects of doorsets, including single and double leaf configurations, as well as different classifications such as integrity (E), integrity/radiation (EW), and integrity/insulation (EI1 or EI2).
The extended application of test results can be applied to different elements of the doorset, such as the door leaf, ventilation grilles, louvres, wall/ceiling fixed elements, glazing for different parts of the doorset, building hardware, decorative finishes, seals (intumescent, smoke, draught, acoustic), and alternative supporting constructions.
