Design and Application of Gypsum Blocks
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 15318 standard provides guidelines for the design and use of gypsum blocks in construction. This standard is based on the EN 12859 specification for gypsum blocks and covers their assembly using adhesives specified in EN 12860.
The standard is applicable to non-loadbearing partition walls and internal insulation of various types of buildings, including residential buildings, offices, hospitals, schools, and more. It also applies to linings of posts, beams, ducts, shafts, and other structures that are suitable for receiving finishes such as paint and wallpaper without requiring traditional plastering.
In addition to the guidelines for the design of gypsum blocks, the standard also defines accessory products related to their application. Compliance with this standard ensures the proper use and installation of gypsum blocks, resulting in durable and aesthetically pleasing construction finishes.
