Extended Application of Test Results on Durability of Self-closing for Fire Resistance and/or Smoke Control Doorsets and Openable Windows - Part 1: Durability of Self-closing of Hinged and Pivoted Steel Doorsets
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 17020-1 standard provides guidelines for extending the application of test results obtained from the durability of self-closing tests conducted according to EN 1191.
This standard specifically applies to single and double leaf, hinged and pivoted, steel-based doorsets that are covered by EN 15269-2 or EN 15269-20. It outlines the methodology to determine the durability of self-closing for these doorsets.
When the appropriate self-closing tests have been completed, the extended application of test results can cover various components including the door leaf, side and transom panels, overpanels, ventilation grilles, louvres, glazing for the door leaf and panels, building hardware, decorative finishes, seals (such as intumescent, smoke, draught, or acoustic seals), and alternative supporting constructions.
It is important to note that this list is non-exhaustive, meaning that additional components or elements may also be considered for the extended application of test results.
