Screed Material and Floor Screeds - Screed Materials - Properties and Requirements
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 13813 standard outlines the specifications and criteria for both fresh and hardened screed materials. It details the performance characteristics of fresh screed material, including working time, consistency, and pH value. For hardened screed material, the standard specifies requirements for compressive strength, flexural strength, wear resistance, surface hardness, resistance to indentation and rolling wheel, shrinkage and swelling, modulus of elasticity, and bond strength.
Furthermore, the standard includes provisions for evaluating the conformity of a product to these requirements, as well as guidelines for marking and labeling products that comply with the standard. This DIN EN 13813 standard specifically covers screed materials as defined in the prEN 13318, which is the European standard for screed materials.
