ISO 12567-1:2010 is a standard that provides a method for determining the thermal transmittance of complete windows and doors using the hot-box method. It covers all components of the window or door system, including frames, sashes, shutters, blinds, screens, panels, door leaves, and fittings.
However, it does not take into account certain factors such as edge effects occurring outside the perimeter of the specimen, energy transfer due to solar radiation on the specimen, air leakage through the specimen, and roof windows and projecting products where the external face projects beyond the cold side roof surface. These factors are excluded from the scope of the standard.
