Standard EN SampleTimber Structures - Uniform, Concentrated Static, and Concentrated Impact Loads on Wood-Based Roof and Floor Panel Assemblies - Test Methods
Also Known As:
ISO 16507:2013 is a standard that focuses on testing the resistance of wood-based roof and floor panel assemblies to different types of loads. This includes concentrated static loads, concentrated impact loads, and uniformly distributed loads. The standard does not separately evaluate surface indentation and instead focuses on overall deflection and damage caused by these loads.
The standard covers three specific applications: roof sheathing, subfloors, and single floors. For each application, the panels are tested parallel and/or perpendicular to the panel's strength axis. Additionally, the standard takes into account different moisture conditions commonly experienced in site-built construction. Roof sheathing is tested in both dry and wet conditions, while subfloors and single floors are tested in a dry condition as well as after being dried out from a wet condition.
It is important to note that this standard does not cover vibration and it is not intended to evaluate the complete framed assembly as a whole. Instead, it specifically focuses on the performance of wood-based panel assemblies under the specified loads.
