Ceramic Tiles - Grouts and Adhesives - Part 5: Requirements, Test Methods, Evaluation of Conformity, Classification and Designation of Liquid-Applied Waterproofing Membranes for Use Beneath Ceramic Tiling Bonded with Adhesives
Also Known As:
ISO 13007-5:2015 is a standard that provides definitions and terminology related to liquid-applied waterproofing membranes for use beneath ceramic tiling bonded with adhesives. It establishes test methods and performance requirements for these products. The standard also specifies the process for evaluating conformity and the classification and designation of liquid-applied waterproofing membranes.
The scope of ISO 13007-5:2015 includes all types of liquid-applied waterproofing membranes, such as polymer modified cementitious coatings, dispersions, and reaction resin coatings. These membranes are used for both internal and external tile installations on walls and floors.
It is important to note that this standard can also be applied to liquid-applied waterproofing products used beneath other types of tiles, such as natural and agglomerated stones, as long as there is no adverse reaction between the membrane and the alternative tile.
