Geotechnical Investigation and Testing - Field Testing - Part 15: Measuring While Drilling
Also Known As:
ISO 22476-15:2016 is a standard that focuses on the measurement of drilling parameters during geotechnical investigation and testing. It establishes the technical principles for the equipment requirements, execution, and reporting of field testing conducted while drilling.
This standard specifically applies to top-driven, destructive drilling methods that involve a fully hydraulically powered drill rig and driving device. It is primarily used in conjunction with destructive drilling techniques, although it can also be utilized with core drilling.
However, ISO 22476-15:2016 does not cover the recording of drilling parameters while carrying out activities such as soil grouting, drilling of nails, anchors, or piles. It is specifically concerned with measuring while drilling in geotechnical investigations, providing guidelines and requirements for accurate and reliable data collection.
