ISO 6935-2:2007 is a standard that provides technical requirements for ribbed bars used as reinforcement in concrete. The standard covers ten steel grades that are not intended for welding, as well as eleven steel grades that are specifically intended for welding. The steel grades are designated with names allocated in accordance with ISO/TS 4949:2003.
The standard applies to ribbed bars that are delivered in straight lengths. It does not cover ribbed bars produced from other finished products, such as plates and railway rails. The production process for the ribbed bars is left to the discretion of the manufacturer.
