Dynamic Modeling of Concrete Structures
Also Known As:
ACI SP-73:1982 is a standard document that contains eleven papers discussing the use of small-scale dynamic models for understanding structural behavior. The papers cover various topics related to dynamic modeling, starting with the similitude requirements and dynamic properties of model materials.
The standard includes four papers that specifically focus on seismic loading of different types of structures, such as frame structures, frame-wall structures, arch dams, and long-span bridges. It also covers other types of dynamic loading scenarios, including air-blast loading of buried structures and impact loadings on beam-to-column joints and reinforced concrete slabs.
Furthermore, the standard addresses vibration studies of different structural elements, such as floor slabs and large panel buildings. The objective of these studies is to gain insights into the behavior of these structures under dynamic vibrations.
