Concrete Bridges in Aggressive Environments
Also Known As:
ACI SP-151:1994 is a standard that focuses on concrete bridges in aggressive environments. It includes 15 papers that cover various aspects related to the performance, protection, assessment, and repair and rehabilitation of concrete bridges. The papers discuss topics such as corrosion protection of concrete bridge deck overlays, corrosion in prestressed concrete bridges, and the use of calcium nitrite in field structures. Additionally, the standard addresses protection measures including the use of silane sealers, coatings, and waterproofers. It also covers condition assessment technologies for measuring corrosion rate of steel in concrete and the diffusion of chloride ions in bridge decks with overlays. The standard also includes experiences from practitioners in the repair and rehabilitation of concrete bridges. ACI SP-151:1994 was sponsored by ACI Committees 345, 222, 515, and 201, and the symposium volume was published based on the Philip D. Cady International Symposium held in 1993.
