Report / Survey EN SampleTest Method for Determining Consistency and Density of Roller-Compacted Concrete Using a Vibrating Table
Also Known As:
The ASTM RR:C09-1043 standard is a procedure used to assess the consistency and density of roller-compacted concrete (RCC) using a vibrating table. The standard is intended to provide a precise and reliable method for evaluating the quality and performance of RCC.
In order to establish the precision of the standard, a study was conducted by a laboratory. The study focused on examining the effects of seven different factors on the precision of the ASTM C1170 standard. This involved conducting 48 tests on 24 different RCC mixtures, with replicate tests performed on each mixture.
The purpose of the study was to determine how these factors influenced the consistency and density measurements of the RCC. By analyzing the results, the laboratory was able to establish a precision statement for the RR:C09-1043 standard, providing information on the repeatability and reproducibility of the test method.
