BS 7533-3:2005+A1:2009 is a British Standard that provides a code of practice for laying precast concrete paving blocks and clay pavers for flexible pavements. The standard has been revised to include the latest practices in pavement construction, including guidance on laying permeable pavements. It should be used for flexible pavements in roads, industrial areas, and other paved surfaces subjected to various loads and pedestrian traffic.

The standard covers the laying of precast concrete paving blocks conforming to BS EN 1338 and clay pavers conforming to BS EN 1344. It applies to all shapes and sizes of paving units covered by these standards.

This version of BS 7533-3 is an amendment to the 2005 edition and is accompanied by a guide for the design of permeable pavements constructed with concrete paving blocks, natural stone slabs, and clay pavers (BS 7533-13:2009).
