BS EN 771-4:2011+A1:2015 is a European standard that specifies the characteristics and performance requirements of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) masonry units. These units are used in various load-bearing and non-load bearing applications, including walling for fire protection, thermal insulation, sound insulation, and chimney fabric. The standard covers AAC masonry units with incorporated insulation not exposed to fire, rectangular parallelepiped-shaped units, specially shaped units, and accessory units.
The standard provides for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of the AAC masonry units. It also includes requirements for marking the products to indicate compliance with the standard.
