BS EN 13914-2:2016 standard focuses on the design considerations and essential principles for internal plastering systems and the application of such systems. However, this standard does not cover external finishes, painting and/or preparation, impregnations, structural repair of concrete, or prefabricated fibre-reinforced plaster elements. Due to the diverse range of materials, practices, and climatic conditions across Europe, some aspects of the standard may not provide sufficient detail to be fully usable in every country. Each country may need to provide complementary guidance documents to complement the basic European recommendations without altering them.
