The DIN EN 13914-1 standard provides requirements and recommendations for the design, preparation, and application of renders. These renders can be based on cement, lime, or other mineral binders, masonry cement, polymer modified binders, or organic binders.
The standard covers the rendering of both new and old backgrounds, as well as the maintenance and repair of existing work. It applies to renders made on all common types of backgrounds, and provides guidance on the use of established site, factory, and semi-finished factory made renders.
