Building lime - Part 2: Test methods
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 459-2 standard is a document that outlines the various test methods used for building limes covered by the EN 459-1 standard. These test methods are also applicable to other lime materials that reference these methods in their respective standards.
Table 2 in this document specifies the methods that are utilized for the chemical analyses and determination of physical properties of building limes. It provides both the reference methods and, in certain cases, alternative methods that can be considered equivalent. However, in the event of a dispute, only the reference methods are used.
It is worth noting that other methods may be employed as long as they are calibrated against the reference methods or internationally accepted reference materials. This calibration is necessary to demonstrate the equivalency of these alternative methods.
