Building Lime - Part 2: Test Methods
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 459-2 standard provides detailed guidelines for testing building limes as outlined in the EN 459-1:2015 standard. It specifically focuses on the chemical analyses and determination of physical properties of these materials. The standard includes reference methods that should be followed, although in some cases, alternative methods that are deemed equivalent can also be used.
In the event of a dispute, only the reference methods are considered valid. However, the standard allows for the use of other methods as long as they are calibrated against the reference methods or internationally accepted reference materials to ensure their equivalency. This ensures that accurate and reliable results can be obtained regardless of the specific method chosen for testing.
