The DIN EN 14654-1 standard provides guidelines for the management and control of activities in drain and sewer systems located outside buildings. It specifies requirements for the development and implementation of work programs and the selection of techniques.
The standard applies to drain and sewer systems starting from the point where wastewater exits a building, including roof drainage systems or paved areas, up to the point of discharge into a wastewater treatment plant or a receiving water body. It also includes drains and sewers located below buildings, as long as they are not part of the building's drainage system.
