Management and Control of Operational Activities in Drain and Sewer Systems Outside Buildings - Part 1: Cleaning
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 14654-1 standard is a European standard that establishes the general principles for managing and controlling operational activities in drain and sewer systems. It focuses specifically on the cleaning aspect of these systems.
This standard provides requirements for the development and implementation of work programs as well as the selection of techniques for cleaning drain and sewer systems. It applies to systems that operate primarily under gravity, starting from the point where wastewater exits a building, roof drainage system, or paved area, and extending to the location where it is discharged into a treatment works or receiving water body.
The standard also includes drains and sewers located below buildings, as long as they are not part of the building's internal drainage system.
