The DIN EN 1993-1-1 standard provides basic design rules for steel structures. It also includes supplementary provisions specifically for the structural design of steel buildings, which are indicated by the letter "B" after the paragraph number.
The standard assumes the same assumptions as specified in DIN EN 1990. Additionally, DIN EN 1993-1-1 is intended to be used in conjunction with other relevant Eurocodes, namely EN 1990, EN 1991 (all parts), the applicable parts of EN 1992 to EN 1999, EN 1090-2, EN 1090-4, and any European Assessment Documents (EADs) and European Technical Approvals (ETAs) that are relevant to steel structures.
