Precast Concrete Products - Linear Structural Elements
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 13225 standard sets out the requirements and performance criteria for the use of precast linear elements in construction. These elements include columns, beams, and frame elements made of reinforced or prestressed normal weight concrete.
This standard covers various aspects of the precast linear elements, including terminology, performance criteria, tolerances, relevant physical properties, test methods, and aspects of transport and erection. However, it should be noted that this standard does not address load bearing capacity determined through testing.
It is important to highlight that the scope of this standard is limited to the construction of buildings and other civil engineering works, excluding bridges. Additionally, this standard does not cover lintels with a length up to 4.5 meters that are used in masonry walls.
