Structural Bearings - Part 4: Roller Bearings
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 1337-4 standard focuses on the design and manufacturing requirements for both single and multiple roller bearings. These bearings are specifically designed to have a horizontal roller axis.
It is important to note that this standard only covers roller bearings that are subjected to rotations less than or equal to 0.05 rads. Bearings that are subjected to rotations greater than this value are not included in the scope of this European Standard.
The standard ensures that roller bearings are constructed in accordance with specific requirements and guidelines to ensure their proper functioning and durability. Compliance with this standard ensures that these bearings can effectively distribute loads, withstand horizontal movements, and provide stability in structural applications.
