The first procedure involves comparing the color of the fine aggregate sample with a glass color standard, while the second procedure requires the use of a standard color solution.
It is important to note that this standard aligns with ASTM C 40-04, with the exception of some minor textual differences in Sections 5.2 and 9.2. However, an errata issued in 2016 highlights a correction in Section 9.2 regarding incorrect values for "750-mL" and "21/2 h." The correct values should be "75-mL" and "2h" respectively.
