Seventh CANMET/ACI International Conference on Durability of Concrete
Also Known As:
ACI SP-234:2006 is a standard that documents the proceedings of the Seventh CANMET/ACI International Conference on Durability of Concrete. The conference, held in Montreal, Canada in 2006, was organized by the Canada Centre for Mineral and Energy Technology (CANMET) in collaboration with several other organizations in Canada and the U.S. The standard includes a collection of 50 refereed papers that were presented at the conference, along with additional supplementary papers.
The papers cover a range of topics related to durability of concrete, including corrosion inhibitors, performance testing methods, alkali-silica reactions, sulfate attack, carbonation, and other deterioration mechanisms. The standard also includes papers that discuss the use of various additives and materials in concrete to improve its durability, such as carbon materials, fly ash, lightweight aggregates, and polyol.
The standard acknowledges the contributions of the authors, reviewers, and conference organizers in bringing the proceedings together. It also includes a separate volume that documents a special symposium held during the conference to honor Professor K. Sakata of Japan for his contributions to the field of concrete design and technology.
