AS 3735:2001 PDF Download

The AS 3735:2001 standard provides specifications and guidelines for the design and construction of concrete structures and members used for retaining liquids at ambient temperature. It serves as a supplement to the requirements outlined in AS 3600 and takes precedence over them.

This standard applies to concrete structures and members with a characteristic compressive strength at 28 days in the range of 20 MPa to 50 MPa and a saturated, surface-dry density in the range of 1800 kg/m3 to 2800 kg/m3. It does not, however, apply to the design of dams, aqueducts, hydraulic tunnels, small septic tanks, portable precast concrete water tanks with a capacity less than 25,000 L, fibre-impregnated concrete that does not comply with AS 3600 design requirements and procedures, or precast concrete pipes (pressure and non-pressure).
