PD CEN/TR 17365:2019 standard provides a detailed description of the analytical procedures for determining the C3A content in clinker based on a chemical analysis of cement. This method is specifically applicable to CEM type I and IV, in accordance with the requirements for C3A as defined in EN 197 1. The standard outlines two methods for analysis: traditional wet analysis and XRF analysis (EN 196 2). Both methods are considered equivalent within the scope of this standard for determining the content of Al2O3, Fe2O3, and SO3. However, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis is recommended as the preferred method for determining Al2O3, Fe2O3, and SO3 in this document.
