Standard EN SampleChimneys - Components - Concrete Flue Liners
Also Known As:
BS EN 1857:2010 is a European Standard that provides guidelines for the construction and performance requirements of precast concrete flue liners and fittings used in multi-wall chimneys. This standard specifies the material and dimensional requirements, as well as the testing methods, for these components. It should be noted that the standard does not cover certain types of products, such as those designated for high positive pressure or those designated as wet in conjunction with corrosion class 3. Additionally, the standard applies to both storey-height and reinforced flue liners, with the latter being solely reinforced for handling purposes. The terms "flue liners" and "fittings" are used interchangeably throughout the document, unless otherwise specified. The pressure classes and corrosion classes referenced in this standard are defined in EN 1443.
