Standard EN SampleRoad Marking Materials: Preformed Road Markings
Also Known As:
BS EN 1790:2013 is a European standard that specifies the requirements and evaluation of conformity for preformed road marking materials. These materials are in the form of tape, cold plastic, and thermoplastics with or without drop-on materials. These materials are used for permanent and/or temporary road markings in circulation areas.
The standard focuses specifically on white and yellow markings and does not cover other products or colors intended for road markings. It provides specifications for the construction and performance of these materials, including type testing and factory production control.
Additionally, the standard includes an Annex specifically for tapes, preformed cold plastic road marking, and thermoplastic road markings with and without drop-on materials. This Annex addresses the requirements of the EU Construction Product Directive for permanent road markings.
