It's important to note that the standard does not cover machines that move during the working process, like mobile mastic asphalt mixers, and crushers. Additionally, the standard does not apply to mixing plants for the production of cement concrete and mortar.
BS EN 536:2015 addresses all significant hazards associated with mixing plants, considering their intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse. The standard provides technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from these hazards. However, it does not address hazards related to flammable gases, but the standard may be updated in the future to include this information.
It's worth noting that the standard is not applicable to mixing plants that were manufactured before the publication date of BS EN 536:2015.
