DIN EN 15037-2 is a standard that specifically focuses on the requirements, performance criteria, and compliance evaluation of concrete blocks used in beam-and-block floor systems. The standard covers blocks made from various materials such as normal or lightweight aggregate concrete, clay, polystyrene, alveolar plastic, or wood composites.
The blocks are used in conjunction with beams and cast-in-situ concrete (topping) in the construction of the floor system. The typology of different types of floor systems is provided in Annex B of the standard.
Amendment 1 of the standard has updated certain clauses and Annex ZA to ensure compliance with the latest requirements and specifications.
