The DIN EN 17468-2 standard outlines a test method for determining the pull through resistance of fibre-cement profiled sheets used for roofing and cladding. This standard applies to both coated and uncoated sheets of the same profile that are manufactured at the same production facility as the tested sheets. The sheets must be fixed through the same part of the corrugations as used in the test, either crown fixed or valley fixed. Additionally, the standard requires using the same type of washer assembly, with the diameter of the washer being no more than 5mm larger than in the test. The Shore A hardness of the sealing washer should also be within ± 5 of the hardness of the washer used in the test. The drilled hole diameter through the fibre cement sheet should be no more than 2mm smaller than in the test, provided that there is the required clearance hole around the shank of the fastener. It is important to note that this standard is applicable only to the products as they are delivered.
