Earthworks - Part 7: Hydraulic placement of extractive waste
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 16907-7 standard provides recommendations for the hydraulic placement of extractive wastes. It focuses on the characterization of extractive waste for hydraulic placement in a terrestrial environment. This includes the design and execution stage of a hydraulic fill project, selection of the appropriate confining embankment, selection and characterization of construction materials, and guidelines on the design, execution, closure, and rehabilitation of the project.
The standard also emphasizes the importance of acquiring necessary data before the design and execution stage, as well as monitoring and quality control throughout the project to ensure long-term safety and stability. It is applicable to the extractive industries and any dams, confining embankments, or structures used to contain, retain, confine, or support extractive wastes on the surface.
